Latihan rutin tersebut selain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan gajah berpatroli di sekitar hutan guna mengusir gerombolan gajah liar yang memasuki perkampungan penduduk, juga dapat digunakan di daerah bencana banjir atau tanah longsor untuk mengevakuasi dan tranportasi.
